Collier County, Fla.—11/3/2021: The Collier County Supervisor of Elections office partnered with Collier County schools to challenge students to register and pre-register to vote.

This year’s challenge launched on September 20 and wrapped up on October 15 with five schools participating: First Baptist Academy, Golden Gate High School, Gulf Coast High School, Lely High School and Palmetto Ridge High School. Gulf Coast High School pulled off their fifth win in a row with 194 voter registrations and pre-registrations. Second place went to Golden Gate High School with 151 students registered and pre-registered. The entire challenge garnered 520 voter registration applications.

“We are extremely proud of this program and appreciate the support from all the teachers, students and staff countywide who helped us register and pre-register these students,” – Jennifer J. Edwards, Supervisor of Elections.
