NEWS RELEASE: Supervisor of Elections Office Begins Mailing Absentee Ballots for the January 31st Election

Naples, FL –Today, the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office sent its first mailing of approximately 1,300 domestic absentee ballots for the upcoming January 31st Presidential Preference Primary Election (PPP).

Any registered voter is permitted to request and vote an absentee ballot. Requests may be made online at www.CollierVotes.com or by calling the Supervisor of Elections Office at (239) 252-8450. To ensure voters receive their absentee ballot, January 25th is the last day to request an absentee ballot be sent through the mail. After January 25th, voters requesting an absentee ballot will be required to pick up their ballot at the Supervisor of Elections Office. It is important to note that absentee ballots are NOT forwarded and will be mailed to the address provided to the Supervisor of Elections Office.

Once your absentee ballot is completed, return the ballot in the official ballot envelope provided. Don’t forget to sign the ballot envelope which MUST be signed by the voter. Absentee ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day – January 31st. If returning your absentee ballot by mail, please be aware that on January 22nd the USPS will be increasing the cost of mailing a one ounce piece of mail from 44-cents to 45-cents.

If you received an absentee ballot and decide to vote during Early Voting or on Election Day, you should bring your marked or unmarked absentee ballot to the polls so it may be cancelled.
