Collier County, Fla.—August 21, 2020: The Collier County Canvassing Board met this morning and certified the official results of the 2020 Primary Election.

The results include ballots cast provisionally, by mail, and in person during Early Voting and on Election Day.

Of the 217,278 eligible voters in Collier County, 36.28% cast a ballot:

  • 55,792 ballots cast by Mail

  • 7,753 ballots cast by Early Voting

  • 15,273 ballots cast on Election Day

  • 9 ballots cast Provisionally

TOTAL: 78,827 ballots cast

In compliance with Florida law, the Canvassing Board will conduct a manual audit of the election at the Supervisor of Elections office on August 28 at 2 p.m. The manual audit is open to both the public and media for observation.

The audit requires that the Canvassing Board randomly select a race and precinct to be manually audited. At today’s meeting, the Canvassing Board randomly selected the Republican Congressional District 19 race at Precinct 475.
