Results will be updated throughout the night from precincts reporting in Collier County
Collier County, FL—November 6, 2012: At approximately 7:30 p.m. tonight, election night, the Collier County Supervisor of Elections will post the first set of preliminary General Election results at www.CollierVotes.com. This initial posting will represent a combined total of results from early voting and the mail/absentee ballots received to date in the county. Following the posting of the initial election results, the Elections office will post reports from Election Day precincts approximately every 45 minutes or less. The updates will continue until the results from all 62 precincts have been reported.
The CollierVotes.com home page will show these election results in a graph format, displaying the total votes and percentage of votes per candidate or ballot item in each contest.
The graph will also show the number of registered Collier County voters eligible to participate in the 2012 General Election (“Eligible Voters – Total”) and the cumulative number of ballots cast up to that reporting (“Ballots Cast – Total”). A hyperlink for each contest will direct website visitors to more detailed information about each contest, including the number of votes by precinct.
A link to the Florida Election Watch for access to General Election results from across the state will also be available.
The CollierVotes.com website will continue to display voter turnout figures, showing ballots cast and not votes tallied, throughout Election Day until the first vote results are posted.
For more information, visit www.CollierVotes.com or contact the Supervisor of Elections office at (239) 252-8450.
