Naples, FL – On Monday, October 4th, the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office will begin mailing domestic absentee/mail ballots for the upcoming November 2nd General Election. If you requested an absentee/mail ballot, remember your completed ballot must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Absentee/mail ballots may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Supervisor of Elections Office. Ballots may not be dropped off at an Early Voting site or at a precinct on Election Day. The ballot must be returned in the envelope provided and the envelope must be signed by the voter.

Voters who receive an absentee/mail ballot and decide to vote in person during Early Voting or at their assigned precinct on Election Day should surrender their absentee/mail ballot at the polls so it may be cancelled. If a voter cannot surrender their absentee/mail ballot, an election worker will confirm the absentee/mail ballot has not been voted and then the voter will be allowed to vote.

Any qualified voter is permitted to request and vote an absentee/mail ballot – NO EXCUSE IS NEEDED. Voting by mail is convenient and requesting an absentee/mail ballot is easy. Since the November General Election ballot is lengthy, voting an absentee/mail ballot will be the most convenient method.

Requests for an absentee/mail ballot may be made online at the Supervisor of Elections Office website –
www.CollierVotes.com – by clicking on the link labeled ‘Request an Absentee Ballot’ under the Absentee/Mail Ballot header. Requests may also be made in person, by mail, or by calling (239) 252-8450. It is important to note that absentee/mail ballots are mailed to the address provided to the Supervisor of Elections Office and cannot be forwarded. Voters who want an absentee ballot mailed to them must make the request by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27th. After that date, voters will be required to pick up their absentee/mail ballot at the Supervisor of Elections Office, Collier Government Center, 3301 Tamiami Trail East, Building C2, Naples, FL.
