Collier County, Fla.—October 16, 2020: The Collier County Supervisor of Elections office will offer curbside ballot drop-off at four early voting locations during the early voting period:
Curbside ballot drop-off allows voters to drop off their Vote-by-Mail ballot without having to exit their vehicle. The four curbside locations will be open during early voting, October 19-31 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
“We received several inquiries about conducting this service for our voters. A variety of factors went into selecting which sites we could offer curbside ballot drop-off including the history of Vote-by-Mail ballot returns at each site and the traffic flow at each location,” – Jennifer J. Edwards, Supervisor of Elections.
Voters will still be able to drop off their Vote-by-Mail ballots at any of the nine early voting locations October 19-31, as each early voting location has a Vote-by-Mail ballot drop box. Polls will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Voters who decide to vote in person can bring their Vote-by-Mail ballot to be cancelled at the early voting site and will then be issued a ballot to vote at the polling location.
