Collier County, Fla.— April 24, 2019: The Collier County Supervisor of Elections office was honored with the Grand All Image Award at the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter Image Awards ceremony last week.
The Grand All Image Award is presented to the best public relations program in Southwest Florida and was awarded for the elections office’s “Collier Votes Local” integrated marketing campaign which aimed to increase voter turnout during the 2018 Election Cycle.
The elections office was also awarded an Image Award for “Collier Votes Local” and Judges’ Award and an Award of Distinction for their “Millennial Votes Matter” public service campaign, which encouraged millennials to vote in 2018.
In order to qualify for judging, Image Award entries must incorporate sound public relations research and planning and must meet the highest standard of production, implementation and evaluation of results within the means of a budget. Awards of Distinction are presented to entries that meet the standards of excellence set forth by the panel of judges and an Image Award may be presented to the top-scoring entry in each category if the entry meets predetermined criteria of excellence set by the panel of judges. Judges’ Awards are presented for an outstanding entry that achieves maximum results while using a minimum amount of money. The Grand All Image Award is presented to the best Image Award-winning entry within its division.
“We are honored to have been recognized for our work with the Collier Votes Local and Millennial Votes Matter campaigns! I’m so proud of my staff for their efforts encouraging voters to participate in the 2018 elections.” – Jennifer J. Edwards, Supervisor of Elections.
