NEWS RELEASE: Today is Election Day for the US Congressional District 19 Special Primary Election

Today, April 22 is the last day to vote in the Special Primary Election 

Collier County, Fla. - April 22, 2014: Today, April 22, is Election Day and the last opportunity to vote in the 2014 US Congressional District 19 Special Primary Election. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and voters who vote in person must vote at their assigned precinct. Voters in line by 7:00 p.m. will have an opportunity to vote.

Voters can find their assigned precinct on their voter information card or at www.CollierVotes.com under the “Find My Precinct” tab, which includes maps and photos of each precinct.

Voters must provide photo/signature ID at the polls. Approved forms of ID are: a current Florida Driver’s License, DHSMV-issued Florida ID, US Passport, debit or credit card, military ID, student ID, retirement center ID, neighborhood association ID or public assistance ID. If the photo ID does not include a voter’s signature, the voter will be required to provide an additional form of ID that includes the voter’s signature. Voters without proper ID may vote a provisional ballot.

Completed Mail/Absentee ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7:00 p.m. today. Completed ballots may be hand-delivered to the main office in the Collier Government Complex until 7:00 p.m. or to the North Collier Government Services Center (next to the Collier County Library Headquarters) until 6:00 p.m. Mail/Absentee ballots will not be counted if turned in at a polling site or any other location. Voters who received a Mail/Absentee ballot and decide to vote in person should bring their ballot to their precinct to be cancelled and may vote a regular ballot.

Voters eligible for this election must reside in US Congressional District 19 and must have registered with the Republican Party by Monday, March 24, 2014.
