Collier County, Fla. - March 17, 2014: Tomorrow, the Collier County Supervisor of Elections Office will send its first mailing of mail/absentee ballots to domestic non-uniformed and overseas voters for the upcoming Special Primary Election for US Congressional District 19.

Voters may submit requests online at www.CollierVotes.com under the “Vote by Mail” tab. Requests can also be made by calling the Supervisor of Elections Office at (239) 252-VOTE. By law, mail/absentee ballots cannot be forwarded and can only be delivered to the address on file with the Supervisor of Elections Office.

The deadline for voters to request an absentee ballot to be delivered by mail for this election is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. After that date, voters can call in a request and pick up their absentee ballots at the Supervisor of Elections Office, located at the Collier County Government Complex, 3295 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112.

Voted absentee ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office, by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 22, 2014. Ballots can be dropped off or mailed back to the Supervisor of Elections Office in the official envelope provided. The voter’s signature is required on the outside of the ballot return envelope.

Voters who receive a mail/absentee ballot and decide to vote in person on Election Day should bring their marked or unmarked mail/absentee ballot to their polling location so it can be cancelled.

For additional absentee voting requirements, visit www.CollierVotes.com under the “Mail Absentee” information page.
