Collier County, FL—October 29, 2012: The Collier County Supervisor of Elections office is encouraging voters to complete address changes and other information updates before going to the polls. In particular, civilian voters who have moved to Collier County from another Florida county should report their address change before Election Day, November 6th, or they will be required by law to vote a provisional ballot. Military voters and their dependents, and address changes within Collier County, are exempt from this requirement.
Address changes can be reported to the Elections office via phone at (239) 252-8450, the online address change form, or in person at either Elections office (Collier Government Complex and Orange Blossom branch). Voters can verify their registration details at the CollierVotes.com "Am I Registered" page to ensure their information is up to date and save time at the polls.
“We recommend that voters keep their registration information current to help prevent delays at polling sites,” said Jennifer Edwards, Supervisor of Elections. “With long lines and long ballots, voters who take this simple step can certainly improve their voting experience.”
