Voters can opt-in to receive text alerts providing important election updates

Collier County, Fla. — February 12, 2024: The Collier County Supervisor of Elections is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a text messaging service that offers voters the opportunity to receive important election-related alerts directly to their mobile device.

Voters who opt-in for the service will receive text alerts about the elections including approaching voter registration deadlines, Vote-by-Mail deadlines, early voting dates and times, and information about Election Day. TextMyGov also offers a simple and quick way for voters to get answers to frequently asked questions by using keyword technology. To use the service for frequently asked questions, message (239) 920-7799. 

The first TextMyGov alert will be sent on Tuesday, February 13 to remind voters who have opted-in of the upcoming voter registration/political party update deadline on February 20.

 To opt-in to the text message service, voters can text COLLIERVOTES to 91896. Message and data rates may apply dependent on the user’s mobile plan.
